Pandit Shri Shri Gopalakrishna Swamigal's Chennai Visit

My friend as well as Pandit Mr. Shri Shri Goplakrishna Swamigal's last week came to Chennai for an important visit and on getting sometime away from his hectic schedule, Swamigal has decided to spend sometime with his patron i.e. Me. Swamigal came to visit me on a fine Sunday evening and we have decided to visit beach since contemporary Swamigal's are more inclined towards particular object which are present abundant in beach.

We went to visit Marina Beach and visited great leaders tombs namely 'Anna Samathi' - One of great dravidian movement leader and founder of great Southern India party D.M.K/Dravida Munnerta Kalagam/Dravidian Improvement Party namely Anna Durai, 'M.G.R Samathi' - Actor turned politician and one of India's popular leader who also has India's most covetous highest civilian peace time award Bharat Ratna/Indian Gem namely M.G. Ramachandran.

Later Swamigal, his aide and myself went to rest aside the beach shores to play with the tides and he worried for not being at beach side during the Tsunami which otherwise according to him, his powers would have turned the waves upside down and making the sea go back miles inside instead of coming into land mass that has caused huge human/property loses. I request honorable Indian Central Science and Technology Minister to make use of his service and put him at the center of the sea for destroying the problem completely instead of installing electronic buoyant's just to give early warnings.

After all this conversations, we were at the sands having good conversation and side-by-side looking around funnily, cunningly, ferociously to make sure Chennai's parents keep their esteem at high levels by keeping their fully grown kids from doing wrong things @ beach. Oops what a satisfaction after doing a great social work of this nature.

Sify Fungama's "Sunday Funday" @ MGM Resort

Last Sunday for Sify Associates & their family members it was a complete Funday. Yes, long awaited Sify's Fungama party was held last Sunday amidst huge expectation. Venue has been fixed as MGM Resorts @ ECR, Chennai. Multiple bus operators have been roped in to provide safe/comfortable journey to/from the venue from different parts of Chennai and nearly 70 buses I guess had been put into service by the operators. As planned people have started pouring into the venue around 3PM. People got into party mood after around the venue seeing action packed stalls at different places. Few stalls to say are the registration for Super Lotto Draw, Lucky Draw, Bull's Eye, Karla Kattai, Skipping Challenge, Kiss the Miss etc,. You can play in any of the stalls and win tokens which can be redeemed immediately for a superb goody item of your choice among the pool.

@4.30 the main action has been kick started by announcing the Super Lotto winners which was followed by whole lot of individual events and family events which are well received among the family members. The compering was done by a popular TV host and events were judged by another popular TV personality 'Badava' Gopi, his wife and another one guy - couldn't remember the name. It was really a fantastic singing show performed by Sify Associates and amazed at thier level of perfection. Excellent show friends, Keep it up. And came the sizzling Fashion Show done by Sify Associates and biggest highlight was the participation by our CTO as one among other contenders. It was very different experience to see him going around the stage doing cat walk compared to the days he talking formal, walking formal and speaking formal as in Rajini's fashion.

And the food was just WOW... Fantastically arranged to cope up the mind blogging head counts... All kudos to all people who made that day a remarkable one...

World's Oldest Employee - 101 Year Old - Preparing 4 Marathon

Already Britain's oldest employee, 101-year-old Buster Martin now aims to become the world's oldest marathon runner by completing the London Marathon and celebrating with a pint of beer and a cigarette.

Sprightly and bearded, he completed a half marathon at the weekend in five hours 13 minutes. The former Army physical training instructor works three days a week for a London plumbing firm and says he has trained for the April 13th race in his spare time.

"I've said I'll attempt it," he told Reuters by telephone from his workplace at Pimlico Plumbers. "I haven't said I'll complete it. If I do make it, all the better. I hadn't thought of doing it before but someone asked me and the money goes to charity so why not?"

His sponsorship money will go to the Rhys Daniels Trust, which provides temporary accommodation for families of patients in specialist children's hospitals.

Martin, who had 17 children and returned to work at the age of 99 saying he was bored after two years of retirement, would beat the previous record for world's oldest marathon runner by eight years.

"If I finish, I'll do what I always do and have a pint and a fag," he said. "People ask what is my secret but I haven't got one. They say fags and booze are bad for you -- but I'm still here, aren't I?"

Getting Done Two Things By One? Be In Queue

One fine morning a man was leaving a cafe after his morning coffee, when he Noticed a most unusual funeral procession

A funeral coffin was followed by a second one about 50 feet behind the first.

Behind the second coffin was a solitary man walking with a black dog.
Behind him was a queue of about 2000 men walking in a single line.
The man couldn't stand his curiosity.

He approached the man walking with the dog,
"I am so sorry for your loss, and I know now is a bad time to disturb you,
but I've never seen a funeral like this with so many of you walking in single line. Whose funeral is it? "

The man replied,
"Well, that first coffin is for my wife."

"What happened to her? "
The man replied, "My dog attacked and killed her."

He inquired further, "Well, who is in the second coffin?"
The man answered, "My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my wife when the dog attacked and killed her also. "

A thoughtful moment of silence passes between the two men.
Then the first one asks in excitement "Can I borrow the dog?"
