Movie Outing 2 Devi , Chennai

This time movie outing post is about the visit to Devi to check out the actor Jeeva's Tamil M.A. Its named to represent the movie's theme of how a person who took the Tamil as his main language who also has master's in that suffers in the newly defined society which hails software engineers as the god fathers of modern day raising India. Its hit out at the way software engineers spend their money and their lifestyle. Movie was full of tragedies and any point of time some body would be crying for one or other reason which ranges from death to murder by the hero... Hmm.. very pity to see the hero...

In fact this movie was not on my list on that day and initially we had planned to checkout any of my English favorites... that was the deal I made with my friend Siva before reaching theater.. but the cheater has took the ticket for this stupid movie..

Anyways here are the pictures...

Among the screen Devi has, this one is the biggest one and one among biggest in Chennai...

Movie Outing 2 Devi Theaters, Chennai

A yet another blog entry about my movie outing to Devi Theaters in Chennai. Though for many it may come as surprise as how I changed myself to see this much movies in short span of time considering my track record of seeing movies once in 3-4 years that too only when my school organizes something as a outing. But here scenes are bit changed all credits to my room mate cum school time friend(part time enemy) Subramania Siva. He is big fan of movies and virtually dragged me to this movie, but still I will try to retain my habit soon.

Okay getting back to movie, we went to see "Pallikudam" directed by Thakarpachan (Tha-kar-pachan). Luckily it was one of the good movies I happen to see in theaters. The movie is about the organizing a school's alumni's in a remote village to save the school from being demolished by the villain. It was so touching and heartening to see a moving about the school time friends and how they would react if they see after long time and move together to save their school.

When those old school friends got together and went to see their school, it was very touching and brought back my memories of those wonderful school days at Nadar Higher Secondary School, Kovilpatti. It become more interesting since my next seat mate is my school time friend and were comparing the teachers and scenes with our teachers and past incidents... Hmmm altogether is was an wonderful movie outing that I keep in my best outing in recent times....

Here comes the much awaited pictures...

Among the four screens, this movie was screen at the mini screen Devi Paradise.

Its a modest theater... So no complaints about the poor seats...

Theaters has habit of having shield of the films they have showcased for long time.. not sure how people is seeing movies many times and making it run for 100 days....

Movie Outing 2 MayaJaal, Chennai

Last week Sunday my friend Siva, who recently joined HCL Technologies gave party to me and another friend of him at Mayajaal. Mayajaal is a high-end multiplex complex located in Chennai on the East Coast Road. That was also my first time traveled in ECR and I was bit curious about it since ECR has the reputation of one of the finest road network in Tamilnadu connecting Chennai and Pondicherry. It helps people to their reach their destination quickly and hassle free which is a odd one considering the usual potholed and bitter curves all along Indian roads [though conditions are improving, it's so slow that by that time roads are re-laid well in India, western countries would get some fantastic new road technologies and we will again get into the cycle of catch-up with them... :( ].

Okay enough India bashing... Mayajaal is in Kannathur locality in ECR. While going to Mayajaal we pit stopped by the VGP theme park to click few pictures....

Me in front of VGP's cement Soldier's placed all along its compound wall...

my friend Siva who is the benefactor of that day
(informally, he can also be called as the E of the day; E in Tamil is short form for 'Eli-cha-vayan' and in English roughly its equivalent to 'biggest fool')

After this short stopover we finally reached Mayajaal around 4PM and took the ticket for the 7.30PM movie show. Well I can easily say we took the ticket for the actor Surya's movie Vel, but it was not that easy decision it was. Mayajaal has six screens playing three Tamil movies and rest Hindi, and in that we almost had violent fight over which Tamil movie to go among Surya's Vel, Vijay's ATM and new actor Prithivi's some movie(forgot the name)... The fight was between which movie to go among ATM and Vel... It went on so hot that one of my friend has decided to commit suicide(name not disclosed at that guy will and willing parties can contact me to know it) in protest if we goto Vijay's ATM movie... The guy claims it was so terrible that instead of going and seeing the movie and then dying inside the movie hall, the guy said he is ready to die instantly.... Hmmm.. in order to avoid the big mishap we decided to goto Vel [even this movie is equal killer like ATM, but relatively it will have less impact over our life]. We thanked the 'decision making tree' concept that we were taught of and it helped us here to make wise decision with almost zero -ve impact over anyone.

We had some good 3 hours time in our hand and we are set to move around the multiplex compound...

Mayajaal's view from its entry point...

Of course as you expected, this is my picture and I would like to put a point forward to all visitors that though I'm trying to avoid interruptions to the users and solely concentrating on the subject, but nothing comes free so there will be my pictures among other pictures to promote myself, please bear with it... I'm following the principles of Google which has whole array of services comes with a tag of ad.... likewise my promotion plan.... after all I'm open source programmer so I'm open in my intentions... got it???

Huray... our long awaited turn has came and we were inside the film hall...
In the screen is the movie starring actor Surya...

Another scene in the movie when there was emotional fight going on between the dual act Surya...

A devastated villain... who always fails in his mission to defeat, defame hero... so he is venting his anger over his sub ordinates who as usual got thrashed by the hero...

A video clip from the movie...

When the movie was over, the time was almost 11 and we know we wont be getting anything if we wait further... so decided to finish the dinner here at this modest roadside hotel...

We were waiting so long to catch the bus... even the busiest road network was wearing deserted look at that time... bus came only around 1AM and completely exhausted...

No bus??? Tomorrow Monday, have to reach office fresh?? We had so much worries... but this guy has who cares mode set on and always after the food items... this time a banana...

A Film Shooting in Chennai

For the first time in my life I happen to see a film shooting very close. Shooting was happening in front of my office and its director is the famous Tamil actor cum director Mr K Bhagyaraj (Bha-giya-raj). Lead actor role is played by his son Shanthanu and lead actress role is by a imported north Indian girl toeing the line of other directors.

Here are the pictures I clicked at that moment...

Director Bhagyaraj is the one who has hands over the white dressed girl who happens to be the lead actress of this movie...

This one I think we got bit closer to the subject... Grey color dressed who also wear grey hat is the Director Bhagyaraj...

Directory Bhagyaraj's son Shanthanu who also is the lead actor of this upcoming movie...

Shooting crew.. A complete coverage...

My Sify Lunch Grabbers

Its indeed a wonder that I'm constantly trying to identify even after sharing so much with them how come my fat is getting added day by day and left me in steps of again becoming the big fat Karthikeyan of 1998-2005???

Wondering what I'm talking about? I'm just referring to my Sify lunch mates who leaves nothing much than the stainless steel plates for me while taking lunch together at ELNET canteen.

Here I'm presenting a group of Dracula's(occasionally I call them as Friends too) which everyone should be aware of....

L to R: Karthikeyan(Me), Hariharan, Abdul Hakkim, Rajagopal, and Sundara Chandran

A humble human among group of beast masters... The second Dracula from right Abdul is the master of all which knows all sorts of tricks to grab my lunch...

The second one from left is the owner of the mobile with which this unbelievably first time ever Dracula's are pictured and moreover a brave man chatting with them...

This shows my naive attitude of whatever evil others does I always grab them with showing 32 bits sorry 32 teeth's... it seems I have got too much of IT....

After successful negotiation I emerged free from the monsters... who knows it may haunt me again tomorrow at 1PM exactly the lunch time here....

Addendum[Update on 2007-11-30]:

Here I'm giving an proof for why I'm calling the particular Dracula as mother of all... I request heart patients, children under age 15 not to view the below picture without having a healthy adult nearby.. I will not take any responsibility whatsoever the loss it may be arising out of this...

Here comes the mother of all Dracula in action at ELNET canteen...

PS: Whatever I have said is just for fun and the human beings[except me, after all I'm GOD you know...] appearing in this article are not necessarily be Dracula's.
