Helping Differently Abled People

I recently posted an article(link to article) about an incident that has ignited me to think something about serving the needy people. Though time is not yet ripe for me to help with money, and till sometime back, in public, I try my best to avoid difficult situation where people come up and ask help with me even when I stand one among crowd. But that set of mentality has changed forever. Now I'm open for all like open to world configuration in Linux.

Today morning while I was on the way to office, an elderly man who is differently-abled so that he can only use his hand to run his tricycle and his legs are short of reaching the pedels of tricyle. He was trying to move his tricyle on a elevated part of the same road through which I used to reach Chepauk station, but he couldn't get a easy ride in the elevated road. I didn't see any of this untill a voice which stops me and asked me to help in some way, and eventually that was from the same man who was strugling to move his tricyle. Thats enough for me who is very reluctant to help without request at first sight. I pushed his tricycle and told him that I won't be able to come upto full length of road as I need to take a turn well before the end of the road. He said that's okay, push till the point. Again a same thought that I got in mind when the last incident like this happened sometime back, why he asked me of help among all others?

Hmmmm... perhaps I think its for a good change in my thought and life. Till this point in my life I used to wait for a request for help even though I know they need it, but I'm sure from today onwards I do my best to go forward to voluntarily help the needed one with my time and strength if not with money now.

Great Indian Shame

The recent conversation between the our honorable former External Affairs/later Finance Minister/Senior BJP leader - Yaashwan Sinhaa, his excellency former Bihar Chief Minister/current Railway Minister - Laalu Prasaad Yaadav and his majesty former Reserve Bank of India Chief/former Finance Minister/current Prime Minister - Maanmoohan Siingh has forced all Indians to shame for their political system and their so called great leaders.

In the upper house of Indian parliement - Rajyaa Sabhaa, the above said great leaders has talked about their own shames they have been put through while they were abroad on a official visit representing our great nation India.

All of them has been telling their stories of how they have over-powered each other when they were growing up in the political/executive ladder. One leader(JS) reminded the Prime Minister of his service under him and for that another leader(LPY) has talked about the ethics of the first leader(JS) when he was serving as executive. Later on the first leader(JS) talked about how the Railway Minister came up to him to get some favors from him when he was as executive. And top of all that is the reply that comes from the Prime Minister over his former counter part of how he was treated badly in a foreign country while on a official trip representing India. What a pity for us.... Great leaders of modern day India are throwing mud at each others but has not made even a single protest when our representative representing India was insulted abroad. But they are now talking about all just because he was insulted. Hmmm... Some divine intervention only can help India to get rid of this kind of cheap personalities...

Read the actual story that has been published in Hindu sometime back,

War of words between Manmohan, Sinha

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday dismissed as “false” charges being levelled by the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that his government was acting under American pressure in not signing agreements with Russia on the Koodankulam reactors in Tamil Nadu.

In a brief intervention in the Rajya Sabha during a short duration discussion on the India-United States civilian nuclear agreement, the Prime Minister firmly rejected all charges levelled by senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha, labelling them as “falsehood” being propagated by the main Opposition party.

The war of words in the Rajya Sabha between Dr. Singh and Mr. Sinha began when the BJP leader alleged that there was pressure on the Prime Minister not to join the Shanghai Cooperation Agreement meeting. Denying that there was any pressure on him to join or not to join the Shanghai meeting, Dr. Singh asserted: “All that I was interested in was to see that if the Indian Prime Minister goes to such meetings, he should not sit on the side table in the coffee lounge and not be involved in an active manner.

Mr. Sinha did not stop here and made a reference to Dr. Singh’s tenure as Economic Adviser to the then Prime Minister under whom he [Mr. Sinha] had served as the Finance Minister.

It was the turn of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad to interject and say that Mr. Sinha had served as personal assistant to the former Bihar Chief Minister, Karpoori Thakur. “Yes, I was principal secretary to Karpoori Thakur when Laluji used to come to my room with recommendations,” Mr. Sinha retorted.

The Prime Minister reminded Mr. Sinha that as the Finance Minister, when he [Mr. Sinha] had gone to Japan he was not allowed to meet his counterpart in that country. “He thinks all people are like him,” Dr. Singh countered, prompting ruling party benches to applaud.

Does it need to be called as war of words or words of shame???

My Home @ Kovilpatti

Finally a blog post dedicated to my native place Kovilpatti and my home there. Kovilpatti is a wonderful place to live and hang out. Kovilpatti is located on the India' prime and most important national road network NH 7 which runs from Kasi to Kanyakumari almost some 2000+ KM stretch. Kovilpatti comes in-between the other two equivalent major cities Madurai and Thiruneveli. Kovilpatti is famous for its match stick works industry and one of the most famous South Indian chat food eatery Kadalaimuttai(a sweet made of groundnuts, and a sugar item made from white sugarcane, at this time not getting the exact name).

Kovilpatti is a busy town mainly because of its 24/7 match industry activities which is catering to the all over India and resulting in heavy heavy-vehicle traffic. Other factors are because its located in the busy national road network, buses fly to and fro very frequently and connectivity to every part of India comes at ease.

Kovilpatti has good amount of highly educated people and many of its present generation guys and girls are busy making hay while the sun shines, confusing? I'm talking about the software engineering folks from Kovilpatti who is going all around the world to give the service of IT. This point can be vindicated by looking at the amount of people travel to and fro Kovilpatti during weekends and festive times which resulted in complete bookings of all available railway and bus tickets.

Kovilpatti to its credit has innumerable flyovers all around the city which is regarded as the most astonishing achievement considering the state of affairs of other Indian cities of its ranks and even bigger than Kovilpatti. It has nearly 7-9 flyovers in which half are completed and rest in construction. For the near 1+ lakh people its definitely a big boon and taking pride out of it.

It has handful of highly qualified secondary, higher secondary education institutes and equivalent professional colleges serving to the ever demanding knowledge community in Kovilpatti. Among the institutes notable are Nadar Higher Secondary School, Kamaraj Matriculation School, John Bosco Matriculation School, Seventh Day Adventist Matriculation School, Kammavar Girls Higher Secondary School and in professional league National Engineering College, KR Arts and Science College, GVN Arts and Science College and many... which will one day be compared with the Oxford and Cambridge Universities.

And I should definitely talk about the Kadalmuttai which is nowadays making headline in most of the cookery magazines/publications around the world. Its one and only Kovilpatti made the erstwhile sweet item Kadalaimuttai back into the level field play among Pizza, Hot dogs etc...

So living in such a kind of place is always a pleasure for me and other fellow Kovilpatti citi'zens.

My home in Kovilpatti is in the area of Rajiv Nagar, a posh residential area that can only be compared to the likes of New York's Manhattan Residential area. It has all services packed and you would never need to go out of this locality for anything.

Here are the few pictures of my home there in Kovilpatti,

My Sweet Home

Example of how fertile the land in Kovilpatti is and how colorful the life of Kovilpatti people has...
(A Hibiscus rona-sinensis plant flower in my home)

Nothing comes at free of cost.. so again some promotion of myself and my puppy... the attire I'm wearing is one of the unique in South India and its widely common in Srilanka and nowadays world fashion designers are flocking to India to make something of this sort which has no equivalent for its user friendly in/out lets and ergonomics design...

Though it may seem easy to have puppy and sit over there... but who knows the trouble I had while having that stinking puppy in my lab... couldn't hold it for long time... but another interesting thing is even it was not happy while sleeping over me.. where could be the problem?
Could I be same like my puppy..... no.. never... I don't agree..

whatever problem we both have over each other.. we both look after others all the time...

Again a proof....

A click over the roof top of my home..

Look the plush locality behind me... Actually there is ceiling restriction in and around my area in order to pave way for future airport that would soon come to this area probably in few decades.. that's why we people decided to construct our home bit little and that's the only difference we have over New York's Manhattan Apartments...

Me standing over the top of my home and trying to make something different in the picture but at the end its audience decide which is best... so bear with it..

Check out the plush green area around there...

Another view of the locality....

Promotion: this is Karthikeyan R and this is how I look alike when I was thinking...

One Fine Saturday @ Sify, Chennai

Oops finally got sometime off from the busy weekdays and this Saturday decided to take some time off from the knowledge upgrade time to blog.

L to R: Kuppuraj and Jose Merlin at TIDEL

its none other than me(Karthikeyan R) in TIDEL
[human readers please ignore the nuisance of mentioning my name often in my blog posts.. its actually meant for blind web crawlers who knows nothing other than text)

here comes the bit interesting character called Rajasekar...
at that time he was fighting with AIRCEL CC executives over his over bills which he claims wrong but he is kind of human being living more with the electronic cells rather than bio cells...
so definitely he must have used his free airtime and should have resulted in that high bills

Kuppuraj..

Sorry again... this is Karthikeyan R.. i.e. Me
behind me is my PC and adjusting to all crap things I do and thankfully it don't have mobility feature otherwise it would have left me long before...

just another angle.. rest are same and I still stand with what I said... that was my PC and I'm sitting in my cubicle..

bit closer.... found any reaction from my PC like turning its monitor away??? none know?? I know it don't react to anything that's why it still stand intact otherwise I would have smashed it long before.. the person who stands is Mr Senthilkumar AKA Mr. Dependable

here comes the bailwan otherwise called as Villain who has thrown me away from my cubicle and took this nice shots to show to his would be's to fool them....

this is the real owner of that cubicle and PC...

Hmmm.. no other way... pardon me.... since we all took pictures together I'm forced to show
pictures like this which is arguably devastating to light hearted and kids under 15... but no other go...

here is Mr Kuppuraj in his professional outfit..

here we got a very good group photo....
standees L to R are Senthil Kumar and Karthikeyan R
and
distinguished[I should better say disturbing] guests are Kuppuraj and Rajasekar
(thankfully the villain was out of this to click this one)

no... the evil will never go away it seems...
here comes the clash of titans..
L to R.. the good(Karthikeyan R) and bad(Jose Merlin)..

finally we all gave up to the villain's demand to showcase his solo picture...
and I request my viewers to take a look at his cargo trouser he is wearing and that was just one simple silly thing he wanted to show off to everyone and so please remember this terrible combination and appreciate him about this cargo if you happen to meet him next time and tell me your comments if you are good in condition after all he is most dreaded person out here...

Movie Outing 2 Devi , Chennai

This time movie outing post is about the visit to Devi to check out the actor Jeeva's Tamil M.A. Its named to represent the movie's theme of how a person who took the Tamil as his main language who also has master's in that suffers in the newly defined society which hails software engineers as the god fathers of modern day raising India. Its hit out at the way software engineers spend their money and their lifestyle. Movie was full of tragedies and any point of time some body would be crying for one or other reason which ranges from death to murder by the hero... Hmm.. very pity to see the hero...

In fact this movie was not on my list on that day and initially we had planned to checkout any of my English favorites... that was the deal I made with my friend Siva before reaching theater.. but the cheater has took the ticket for this stupid movie..

Anyways here are the pictures...

Among the screen Devi has, this one is the biggest one and one among biggest in Chennai...
